Aromatherapy stress blends work very well in these types of methods. Here are some ways to use your aromatherapy stress blend for the best results.
In a bath. You can buy a special aromatherapy stress relief bath mixture or just add some essential oils to your bath.
In a massage. You can use a special aromatherapy stress massage oil. Or add some essential oils to a special massage carrier oil or a carrier oil like almond oil or jojoba oil.
In a face sauna. This will not work well for people who do not like face saunas. Add some oil to some boiling water and put your face over the steam.
On your pulse points. You can use a special blend on your pulse points. You can also add the oils to some distilled water and use it as a mist. This is a great idea for people who are going into a stressful situation and want something to calm them down when they are there.
As part of a face mask. Add some essential oils to yoghurt, mashed fruit or egg yolk. Leave it on there for fifteen minutes and relax while it is working.
In an oil burner. Try doing something relaxing or calming as the oils are burning.
On your pillow. This is particularly helpful for those who find it hard to sleep at night because of stress. Add one or two drops to a handkerchief and place it inside your pillow. Lavender is a good oil to use for this method.
In a candle. You can buy special anxiety aromatherapy candles, which are great for relieving stress. Or you can make your own candles and add some essential oils.
Does it really help?
As stress is a subjective complaint, and there is no way of proving whether someone is stressed or not, it is difficult to see whether aromatherapy really works. Many people have said they feel less stressed after trying an aromatherapy stress relief treatment. However, other people claim that it has had no effect.
Whether aromatherapy stress relief will work for you really depends on your attitude towards aromatherapy and stress. If you feel much stressed, and believe that nothing can help your stress levels, then aromatherapy is probably not the answer you are looking for. If, on the other hand, you feel stressed but believe your stress levels can be kept under control, then aromatherapy may work very well. If nice scents make you feel calmer and less stressed, then it is more likely to be of some benefit.
Aromatherapy stress reduction should be a pleasant calming experience.Even without the therapeutic benefits, the treatment you receive should have a stress-relieving effect. It is inexpensive and easy to do. Aromatherapy stress relief is a nice way to spend some time, with the added bonus that it will probably reduce stress as well.
