Candle Making Process

Aromatherapy candle making begins by preparing the mold. You can anchor your which by threading it through a hole in the bottom of your mold. Seal the hole with putty. If you are using a jar, anchor it with a metal which anchor and you can place a tiny amount of wax or glue on the bottom to keep it in place. To keep the wick from moving while pouring your wax, wrap it around a pencil and balance the pencil on top of the mold.

Use the double boiler to melt the wax you are using. The wax should not be allowed to reach a temperature higher than 180 degrees. If you want to color your candle, shave off pieces of crayons and add this to the wax while it is melting. Avoid using too much crayons, or your candle will smell like crayons. You can also use dyes to color your candles, but using crayons is a great use of those broken crayons every household seems to have lying around.

Now you are ready to add the essential oils to make your aromatherapy scented candle. Remember that essential oils are quite strong, so only add a few drops of the oil to the wax. Blend it in thoroughly to ensure even spacing of the scent.

Pour the mixture into your mold, taking caution to make sure that the wick stays where it should be. Allow it to set overnight. Trim your wick to a length that is a quarter of an inch higher than the top of the wax. Now you have a beautiful aromatherapy candle to enjoy that will not only be beautiful to look at, but will also help you relax!

Aromatherapy soy candles create a pleasing and relaxing atmosphere in your home. You can create the look and feel you want by making these candles yourself, or you can save time by buying wholesale aromatherapy candles. But chances are if your try your hand at aromatherapy candle making, you will find it is a hobby that you greatly enjoy.
