Types of Aromatherapy Diffusers

Now, there are several models and types of aroma therapy diffusers. How do you buy the right aroma therapy oil diffuser? We shall discuss the types of aromatherapy oil diffusers and their usage, so that you can decide for yourselves.
Electric Fan Diffusion
Electric fan diffuser is a heat free product. These diffusers can work for hours with just 2AA batteries or you have the option of plugging them in for continuous use. Electric fan diffuser operates by blowing cold air through a pad soaked in aromatherapy oil. Since electric fans are lightweight, it would be easy to fit batteries into the item.
Simple Tissue Diffusion
Simple tissue diffusion is an easy method and could be done with items found your home. Pour 3-4 drops of essential oil in your tissue and place the tissue near you. You can inhale the distinct aroma as movement occurs in your room.
Steam Diffusion
The steam diffusion method quickly diffuses oil into a room. Boil 2 cups of water and pour the water into a bowl. Add 10 drops of oil to the water. If you are particularly allergic to the oil, you can add fewer drops. Then the stream will heat the oils and enable them to evaporate quickly into the room. Remember that the aroma is not long-lasting in this method. Since the heat eliminates certain constituents in the oil, you will not be able to enjoy the full therapeutic benefit.
Candle Diffusion
If you possess a candle, you can use the candle diffusion method. Light a candle and let it burn for five minutes. Extinguish the candle. Then place 1 drop of essential oil in the melted wax and relight the candle. You are recommended to exercise caution, as essential oils are highly flammable. The aroma in candle diffusion method is short lived.
Nebulizers
Nebulizers consist of two parts: the plastic base and an unusual glass-looking device that holds the oil. Some nebulizers use a glass piece whereas others use a special bottle.

Nebulizers are devices that break essential oils into smaller molecules before dispersing them into the room. You are sure to obtain great therapeutic value by this method, as lungs readily absorb smaller molecules. Asthmatics may use portable nebulizers instead of using inhalers. The main disadvantage of this method is that the glass device is breakable. You cannot use thick oils on certain nebulizers, as thick oils can clog style nebulizers.
