Providing Aromatherapy Oxygen at Home
There are special oxygen generators that you can buy for use at home. They cost around $500 to $2000. You can also rent oxygen generators from some suppliers. Special aromatherapy blends can be purchased to use with the oxygen generators.
It is not a good idea to make your own aromatherapy blends, as you may include some material that should not be inhaled and could be damaging to the lungs.

If you decide to use a home oxygen generator, it is very important that you follow all the instructions and keep it well cleaned, to prevent any chance of infection. Also, do not use a home oxygen generator if you have any medical conditions that may be adversely affected by too much oxygen. Check with your doctor first if you are not sure.

Home oxygen generators are not as safe as going to an oxygen bar. In an oxygen bar, the oxygen is administered by people who have been trained in the procedure. There should also be a first-aid person on hand in case there is an emergency.

Is it worth it?

The general feeling among the medical profession is that aromatherapy oxygen bar equipment real benefit and there is too high a risk of inhaling bacteria or irritants. However, many aromatherapy bar customers are happy with the results. If it sounds like something you would like to try, research your provider carefully.

If possible, talk to other people who have gone to the same aromatherapy bar. Go there first as a spectator to see what happens and how well they look after its customers. Find out what the aromatherapy bar uses to create the aromatic scent and how well they clean their equipment. Also, check if there is a first aid person on hand in case anything goes wrong. Start with five minutes first, to make sure you like it. If you find you do enjoy your first run, and you can see some benefit in inhaling aromatic oxygen, you can also stay in the aromatherapy oxygen bar for longer the next time.
