Diffusers

Aromatherapy diffusers disperse essential oils so that the scent fills the room. There are some easy methods to dispense aromas into the air using materials from the home but there are also some more complicated contraptions that can be shop bought. Tissue diffusion is the simplest, requiring a few drops of oil to be placed on a piece of tissue. Anyone that passes the tissue will smell the scent but it is not very strong. Steam diffusion involves dropping some essential oils into freshly boiled water and allowing it to sit in a room. The smell will slowly drift around the room although it is not very long lasting. Candle diffusion requires lighting a candle for five minutes, extinguishing it then adding some essential oils onto the melted wax before relighting the candle. As these oils are flammable, care must be taken not to let it drop onto the wick before relighting it.

Another type of candle diffusion is generally shop bought. It involves using a tea light or small candle to heat up an infusion of essential oils stored in a bowl. It is inexpensive and probably one of the most popular diffusers around. Other manufactured diffusers include lamp rings, clay pot diffusers, fan diffusers, electric heat diffusers and nebulizers. These all vary in price and efficiency.
